BISMARCK RADIO TELEGRAM

Radiogram sent by the Chief of Fleet, Admiral Lütjens, to the High Command of the Kriegsmarine and Group West at 2140 hours on 26 May 1941, it reads:

"Ship unable to manoeuvre. We will fight to the last shell. Long live the Führer."
